There is no evidence to suggest that massage should be avoided by people with experience of cancer. In fact there is plenty of evidence that proves the benefits of massage for people with or recovering from cancer. However many insurance providers require a salon or spa to request a GP's letter of recommendation or referral to enable a person who has been treated for cancer within the last 5 years to be treated with any type of massage therapy.
We have removed this additional stress and effort, allowing your clients to access a relaxing, therapeutic experience at a time when they need it most.
The Amethyst Trust has secured a leading insurance product for specially trained therapists who would like to offer massage therapy on clients with experience of cancer.
What does the insurance cover me for?
The insurance provides £50,000 of limited indemnity for medical malpractice.
