Course Outline

This specialist Amethyst Reflexology for Cancer and Life-Limiting Illnesses E-Course is FHT approved and designed for qualified reflexologists who wish to use advanced reflexology techniques in lymphatic drainage to help people who are living with and beyond cancer, are at risk of or have lymphoedema or have other life-limiting conditions. It can also be used to aid recovery after illness or even exercise.
The course includes information about working within a healthcare setting, managing stress and anxiety, looking after yourself as a therapist and reflective practices. Covering up to date theory and practical considerations and is aligned with the SATCC Standard.

This course will cover:

  • Types of cancer and causes of cancer
  • Review of medical treatments for cancer and their side effects 
  • Dealing with cancer or a life-limiting diagnosis
  • Reflexology for cancer and life-limiting conditions
  • Reflexology considerations and adaptations 
  • Skin care products and ingredients and massage mediums
  • Practical videos for the full Amethyst Reflexology for Wellbeing Routine for you to learn 
  • Aftercare
  • Working or volunteering in a healthcare setting
  • Reflective practices
  • Stress Vs anxiety Vs distress
  • Resilience‍ for both yourself and your clients

Assessment Methods

There are three online Units that make up this course, each containing a variety of Topics, each Topic has a series of recap Quizzes to help consolidate your learning and remember the information as you go. Each Unit has a final Assessment which has a qualifying pass rate of 80%.

Pre-Requisite Requirements

Reflexology Certificate or equivalent*.
Qualification certificates must be shown on enrolment.

Duration

Online home study takes 6-8 hours and can be studied at your leisure. From enrolment you will have 2 months to complete the course.
