Amethyst Working or Volunteering in a Healthcare Setting E-Learning Course

Course Outline

This E-Learning Course is designed for therapists who wish to work or volunteer in a healthcare setting.

It provides essential knowledge and understanding about healthcare politices, code of ethics and helps you to navigate the world of healthcare as a complementary therapist.

As therapists we know how important it is to look after our own mental health, stresses and anxieties, and this e-course also explores ways in which you can help yourself as well as others.

This course will cover:

  • Understanding how to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Understanding the issues of consent and confidentiality
  • Understanding professional code of ethics
  • Understanding the legislation affecting complementary therapy treatments in the healthcare setting
  • Understanding reflective practice and ways to help reduce stress and build resilience

Assessment Methods

This e-course contains 4 Topics. After Topics 1 - 3 there is a recap Quiz to help you consolidate your learning and remember the information as you go. After Topic 4 there is an end of Unit Assessment which has a qualifying pass rate of 80% which has to be achieved before certification.

Pre-Requisite Requirements

Level 3 or equivalent* in any Complementary Therapy such as Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology .
Qualification certificates must be shown on enrolment.

Duration

This course takes 4-6 hours of online home study using a PC, tablet or phone. You can dip in and out of the course at your convenience and without losing your place.

A graduation certificate is provided on successful completion of the e-course.
